Between the spectacular fishing, cozy campsites, and a first-rate visitor center, Lake Dardanelle State Park isn’t often thought of as a trail destination. But it should be. Those excellent amenities only add to the attraction.
Meadow Brook Trail at .8 mile is the only designated “trail” in the park, but there are over two miles of pavement from the visitor center to the marina and back. The return is lakeside, offering a view of the waters and Mt Nebo in the distance. Motor vehicles easily share the road with cyclists, walkers, joggers, and leashed pets.
Lake Dardanelle State Park Visitor Center features a freshwater aquarium, touchscreen information stations, and a gift shop. A native wildflower garden is always buzzing with pollinators. Kayak and bicycles are also available for rent.
Come for the biking, the walking, the jogging, and stay for everything else at Lake Dardanelle State Park.
